Self-Testing of Quantum States Using Symmetric Local Hidden State Model

چکیده

We introduce a symmetric local hidden state $(slhs)$ model in scenario, where two spacially separated parties receive quantum states from an unknown source. derive inequality based on the model. A completely new form of nonlocality emerges resource theoretic point view. The singles out larger set correlated higher dimensional scenarios $(d> 2 $ X $2)$ than what is predicted by existing $lhs$ model, opening front for experimentalists to test accuracy prediction. propose experiment show experimental violation qubit scenario and perform IBM computer. However, method adopted two-qubit does not naturally generalize leaves verification claim open. also that maximal can be used self-test Bell measurement bases, leading complete device-independence.

Symmetric extensions of quantum States and local hidden variable theories.

While all bipartite pure entangled states violate some Bell inequality, the relationship between entanglement and nonlocality for mixed quantum states is not well understood. We introduce a simple and efficient algorithmic approach for the problem of constructing local hidden variable theories for quantum states. The method is based on constructing a so-called symmetric quasiextension of the qu...

Sharp Contradiction for Local-Hidden-State Model in Quantum Steering

In quantum theory, no-go theorems are important as they rule out the existence of a particular physical model under consideration. For instance, the Greenberger-Horne-Zeilinger (GHZ) theorem serves as a no-go theorem for the nonexistence of local hidden variable models by presenting a full contradiction for the multipartite GHZ states. However, the elegant GHZ argument for Bell's nonlocality do...

Anomalous doublets of states in a PT symmetric quantum model

A PT symmetric complexification of an exactly solvable potential in one dimension leads to a paradox. The set of its normalizable solutions proves larger than one would expect on the basis of its point canonical transformation analysis. March 13, 2008, file ces.tex

Testing for two states in a hidden Markov model

The authors consider hidden Markov models (HMMs) with finite-valued latent process and statedependent distributions from a general one-parameter family. A test for m = 2 against m ≥ 3 states of the underlying Markov chain is proposed. So far, no satisfactory methods for this problem are available. The proposed test is an extension to HMMs of the modified likelihood ratio test (LRT) for two-stat...
